My husband and I enjoyed a fantastic valentines day dinner here. Once we arrived, we were seated about 30 minutes later as it was extremely busy. Ahmed, our waiter was amazing. He provided wonderful recommendations and was very attentive throughout the night. I highly recommend the lamb chops, lobster mac & cheese and ribeye. Everything was made to perfection. To end the night, we enjoyed chocolate covered strawberries and I was provided with a rose (such a nice touch for a special day). This restaurant is wonderful and we will be back soon. Shoutout to Ahmed for taking great care of us throughout the night.
This place is wonderful and the favorite of all capital grille locations.... The dining room is so well designed... every staff member is excellent... never had a bad or even subpar experience with any of them. I’ve gone at least 50 times. The food is always consistently excellent. Drinks are poured generously. Brendan, Ursula, Stephanie, Irvin are all excellent bartenders. Expect great service from Eric, Joe, Kevin, and Jim in the dining room. Too many other great names to list as well. A true pleasure to deal with and I am a customer for life
What an amazing Anniversary dinner at The Capitol Grille in Stamford. Such a nice surprise to see confetti and a sweet note at our table. Greeted with 2 glasses of prosecco and the nicest waiter Andreas who took care of our every need. Lobster crab cake was OUTSTANDING, calamari was really good but a bit spicy for us and the tuna tartare was yummy. Our steaks came overdone but they fixed it with no issue and they were delicious. I had the tomahawk veal chop and hubby had the rib eye, we split the creamed corn and mashed. Again, delicious. Do not pass on the coconut cream pie. All I can say is OMG!!!! The food was fantastic and went from a 10 to a 20 because of the above and beyond service and special attention they showed us to celebrate. To end the evening the took a photo of us and presented it in a card with another lovely note. Kudos to you Capitol Grille. Well done
A fantastic, consistent experience. The steak is always fantastic and is better than the big-city "steakhouses." The specials are always a lot of fun. The biggest reason I keep coming back is the service. Everyone has a smile and is beyond courteous. George, our waiter, was a delight, kind and attentive. Get the Bone in Ribeye!
Love this place! If you're looking for delicious and mouth watering steak, I'd recommend coming to CG. I loved it here! I was in the area and ended up here for dinner. I ordered the clam chowder, steak, potatoes and gelato. Everything I had was incredible. I'd highly recommend coming here for dinner! I can't wait to stop in here again.
Believe it or not best steak ever! And that's coming from someone that has awfully high standards when it comes to steaks. I had the porcini mushroom crusted bone in rib eye with 15 yr aged balsamic. My wife had the bone in NY strip. We had the slab of thick cut bacon with an amazing BBQ sauce and ny style fried calamari for appetizers. For sides our chef Tyrone suggested the lobster Mac & Cheese, creamed corn with bacon and au gratin potatoes. For desert we had their home made cheese cake and coconut cream pie. My wife is not much of a fan of coconut but she devoured this one, the soft cookie was to die for underneath the house made whipped cream. Tyrone is top notch! His food is amazing. Not to mention the bartender suggested the perfect pairing of wine for every dish we ate.
My wife and I had our first dinner date of 2025 here (on 01/01/25) and we’re glad we did. Highlights 1. Excellent atmosphere - as a grill house should be. A good mix of Sophistication and Relaxed. 2. Top Food. Right from the way our Steak’s (NY Strip and the Classic Filet Mignon) were done to the juices as well as the 2 sides that we ordered (Au Gratin Potato’s and Sauteed Spinach) 3. The Desert (Creme Brulee) 4. A special mention and Thank You to the Staff - The kind lady who received us as well as Mr Joseph Sciortino who gave us a great experience while serving our table.
Have been here twice for my birthday. Greeting staff and server (Joseph) were genuinely hospitable and attentive to my guest and I. The food is really good here—well seasoned and the right temperatures! Would recommend the field greens salad, tomahawk veal chop, steaks and the mashed potatoes here! By far, one of the best steaks I’ve ever had! Would highly recommend!
